The story behind the shirt

Ein Trikot aus jener Spielzeit, in der Borussia Dortmund die Bundesliga mit 25 Siegen aus 34 Spielen dominierte und mit 81 Punkten ungeschlagen Meister wurde. Mit 80 Toren war die Offensive beeindruckend, angeführt von Robert Lewandowski mit 22 Toren, gefolgt von Shinji Kagawa mit 13 Treffern und Ivan Perišić mit sieben Toren. Ein 5:0-Heimsieg gegen den 1. FC Köln im Oktober, ein 5:1-Erfolg gegen den VfL Wolfsburg sowie ein 6:1-Auswärtssieg gegen Köln im März zeigten die Stärke des Teams. Im DFB-Pokal setzte sich Dortmund ebenfalls durch und gewann das Finale gegen Bayern München 5:2, wobei Lewandowski auch hier mit sieben Toren der erfolgreichste Schütze war. In der Champions League hingegen schied das Team in der Gruppenphase aus.
