    With this home shirt of Borussia Dortmund from the 2019-20 season, prepared for Abdou Diallo, you'll add a genuine collector's piece to your wardrobe! The shirt comes directly from the club's changing room and was prepared for a match played during a training camp between FC Zürich and Borussia Dortmund. Our Retroshirts contact was employed at a Super League club and received this shirt, along with all his other shirts, personally from the players. It's unclear whether the shirt merely hung in the changing room as a spare or was actually worn in a match. Given the very good condition of the shirt, we assume it was the spare shirt. The Senegalese centre-back started his career at AS Monaco before moving to the Bundesliga. He played only one season at Borussia Dortmund and left the club at the start of the 2019-20 season. He then played for four seasons at Paris St. Germain. Since the 2023-24 season, he has been playing in the Qatar Stars League, currently under contract with Al-Duhail SC.

      The story behind the shirt

      Borussia Dortmund finished the 2019-20 season as Bundesliga runners-up with 69 points from 34 games. Jadon Sancho was the outstanding force in attack with 17 goals and 16 assists, supported by Erling Haaland (13 goals) and Marco Reus (11 goals). Highlights included 5:0 wins against Fortuna Düsseldorf and Union Berlin, as well as the Supercup triumph with a 2:0 win against Bayern Munich. In the Champions League, BVB reached the quarter-finals, where Paris Saint-Germain denied them progress with a 0:2 away defeat after a 2:1 first-leg win. A shirt from this season represents one of the most spectacular BVB attacks in the club's recent history.
