    Beautiful and rare Borussia Dortmund home shirt from the 1996-97 season. The 1996-97 season is certainly a memorable one for the Borussia side. Although they had to hand the Bundesliga title back to their rivals from Munich after a two-year winning streak in the preceding seasons, they did manage to win the UEFA Champions League instead. In the UCL final, the Dortmund side, featuring stars like Swiss player Stéphane Chapuisat, Karl-Heinz Riedle, Andreas Möller, Matthias Sammer and Paulo Sousa, beat Juventus Turin 3:1. This marked the most recent triumph in the top European competition for Borussia to date (as of February 2026). A rare and visually striking vintage piece that recalls a phenomenal era in the club's history.

      Borussia Dortmund spielte die Bundesliga-Saison 1996–97 unter Trainer Ottmar Hitzfeld und beendete sie auf Platz 3 mit 63 Punkten. Topscorer war Stéphane Chapuisat mit 13 Toren, Andreas Möller steuerte 15 Assists bei. Karl-Heinz Riedle und Michael Zorc trafen je 7 Mal. Die Dortmunder erreichten das Finale des DFB-Supercup sowie die erste Runde des DFB-Pokals.
