The story behind the shirt

Worn in the season in which AC Milan won the Intercontinental Cup and the European Super Cup. Under coach Arrigo Sacchi, Milan finished second in Serie A. The club was also active in the Coppa Italia, while the Rossoneri also took part in the European Cup competition. A key player of the season scored eleven goals across the various competitions.
