The story behind the shirt

Getragen in der Spielzeit, in der AC Milan unter Fabio Capello die Serie A gewann. Der italienische Meister zeigte sich besonders torstark: Bester Torschütze der Liga erzielte 11 Tore, dazu kamen Treffer in der Coppa Italia sowie im UEFA Cup, insgesamt 17 Tore über die Wettbewerbe hinweg. Milans Dominanz erstreckte sich über alle drei Hauptwettbewerbe, in denen das Team vertreten war. Unter Capellos Regie setzte sich Milan gegen die nationale Konkurrenz durch und bestätigte damit seinen Status als italienische Topmannschaft.
