    Rare FC Basel special shirt from the 2005-06 season, featuring the cantonal coat of arms of Basel-Stadt printed on the left chest and a version of Basel's unofficial city anthem "Z'Basel am mym Rhy", adapted for FC Basel, printed on the back. The original version of the poem was written by the German writer Johann Peter Hebel (1760 - 1826). The shirt is an early example of culturally charged football merchandising, indulging in local patriotism with an identity-forming character and attempting to build a bridge between city identity and club loyalty. Without the printed cantonal coat of arms and poem, the shirt was used as an away shirt in the 2004-05 season. It dates from a successful period for FC Basel, who won the championship title in both the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons. In the 2005-06 season, FC Basel lost the decisive championship match against their rivals from Zurich in the very last second. A special piece for collectors and fans of FC Basel in very good condition.
