    With this home shirt from FC Basel, prepared for David Degen, from the 2004-06 seasons, you're getting a genuine collector's item for your wardrobe! The shirt comes directly from the club's dressing room and was prepared for a Super League match. Retroshirts' contact is a former Swiss professional footballer who swapped this shirt, along with all his other shirts, with players on the pitch. It's unclear at which match of the seasons in question the shirt was swapped, and to what extent the player was used. The shirt shows the characteristics of a match shirt: the Super League patch on the left sleeve and the league sponsor on the left chest. David Degen began his professional career in 2002-03 at FC Aarau and moved to FC Basel for the 2003-04 season, where he immediately celebrated two consecutive championship titles with the club. For the 2006-07 season, he made the leap to the Bundesliga with Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he didn't play often, and the following season he was already loaned back to FC Basel. Several years at BSC Young Boys followed. David Degen then finished his career at FC Basel in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. In total, he played 208 matches for FC Basel and contributed 26 goals and 24 assists. With the club, he became Swiss champion four times in total and cup winners once. Today, David Degen is the president of the board of directors of both FC Basel Holding AG and FC Basel 1893 AG.
