The story behind the shirt

AC Milan finished the 2012-13 Serie A season under coach Massimiliano Allegri with 72 points in 3rd place. Top scorer Stephan El Shaarawy scored 16 goals, Giampaolo Pazzini 15 and Mario Balotelli 12. In the Champions League, they achieved a 2:0 home win against Barcelona in the round of 16; the away leg ended 0:4. In the league, Milan celebrated, among other results, a 5:1 win against Chievo and a 4:0 win away against Pescara.
