The story behind the shirt

A shirt from the season in which VfB Stuttgart, under manager Matthias Sammer, finished fifth in the Bundesliga. Kevin Kurányi was Stuttgart's top league scorer with 13 goals, and he also scored 18 goals in the DFB-Pokal and 18 goals in the UEFA Cup. Stuttgart competed in three tournaments, fighting for the national cup and European success as well as in the league.
