The story behind the shirt

Getragen in der Spielzeit, in der Rennes in der Ligue 1 den zwölften Platz belegte. Mit 11 Siegen, 13 Unentschieden und 14 Niederlagen sammelten die Bretonen 46 Punkte aus 38 Spielen. Nélson Oliveira war mit acht Toren bester Torschütze, gefolgt von O. Toivonen mit sieben Toren und R. Alessandrini mit sechs Toren. K. Grosicki war mit drei Assists der erfolgreichste Vorlagengeber. Rennes siegte 5-0 bei Toulouse und 3-0 gegen Nantes auswärts sowie 3-0 gegen Bastia zu Hause. In der Coupe de France erreichte Rennes das Finale, schied dort aber mit 0-2 gegen Guingamp aus, nachdem das Team Viertelfinale und Halbfinale mit Siegen gegen Lille und Angers erreicht hatte. In der Coupe de la Ligue endete die Teilnahme bereits im Achtelfinale mit einer 1-2-Niederlage gegen Bordeaux.
