The story behind the shirt

Ein Trikot aus jener Spielzeit, in der RB Leipzig den DFB-Superpokal gewann. Die Leipziger setzten sich im August mit einem 3:0-Sieg gegen Bayern München durch. In der Bundesliga belegte Leipzig den vierten Platz und sammelte aus 34 Spielen 65 Punkte bei 19 Siegen, acht Unentschieden und sieben Niederlagen. Offensiv glänzte das Team mit 77 Toren: Loïs Openda war mit 24 Toren bester Torschütze, Xavi Simons erzielte acht Tore und bereitete elf vor, während Benjamin Šeško 14 Mal traf. Auch in der Champions League überzeugten die Roten Bullen in ihrer Gruppe mit vier Siegen aus sechs Spielen. Zu den Ergebnissen der Saison zählten hohe Heimsiege wie ein 6:0 gegen Köln und ein 5:1 gegen Stuttgart.
