FC Thun 2005-06 home shirt - DEUMI #12 - 9/10 - [L]

Our own studio photos of the original - never a catalogue image

    Description

This FC Thun home shirt from the 2005-06 season has the name Armand Deumi on the back, number 12. The centre-back made 168 appearances in total for the club from the Bernese Oberland and played four games in that Champions League campaign. For Thun, this season was a historic moment: after qualifying for the Champions League and the UEFA Cup, several managerial changes followed, until the team secured fifth place in the Super League. The shirt came from the collection of a former Swiss professional footballer. For this reason, we assume it is a Player Issue, even though we can't say for certain whether it was actually worn in a match. The red and white Hummel shirt, size L, is in remarkably good condition at 9/10 - a great piece of Thun's European football history. Provenance: This shirt comes from the collection of a long-time Swiss collector who works with retroshirts.ch. His collection is one of the most extensive in Switzerland, built up through personal contacts in the football world and the collector scene - both nationally and internationally.

The product was made by Hummel, is red/white and is a "Home" type from the 2005-06 season in size L.

      Season 2005-06

      The story behind the shirt

A shirt from the time when FC Thun played in the Swiss Super League and qualified for the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Cup. The 2005-06 season was marked by changes in coaching: Urs Schönenberger led the preparation but was replaced in February, after which interim coach Adrian Kunz and, from February, Heinz Peischl took over the role. The team finished the championship in fifth place in the top Swiss league, gaining experience in European competition along the way.

      Frequently asked questions

Icon for reviewWhat condition are the shirts in?

Honest condition details, transparent 1-10 grading and high-resolution original photos - so you see exactly what you get.

      • Our vintage treasures have a history - and sometimes the odd battle scar.
      • We list every flaw plainly and give a clear score from 1 (to love anyway) to 10 (fresh out of the time machine). How we grade is explained in detail on our condition page.
      • We take the photos ourselves in the studio, high-resolution and without Photoshop touch-ups - you can see every seam, every thread and every heroically earned stain.
Icon for verifiedIs the shirt genuine?

Yes. We sell verified originals only - no fakes. We check every shirt by hand before it goes on sale: MPN (where available), material and feel, seams, details.

Icon for barcodeHow does the sizing run?

Vintage shirts vary a lot depending on era and manufacturer - do not rely on the label alone. On every product page you find the chest width in cm (measured flat). Best compare it with a shirt that fits you well.

Icon for shopping_bagCan I pick up / try on in store?

Of course - drop by our store in Zurich and take a look at the shirts before buying (trying on included). Opening hours and address are here on the store page. What you see in the online shop is also in the store. During June/July some shirts are also at our pop-up in Zurich main station. Every shirt shows which location it is at.

Icon for secureHow do I care for my vintage shirt?

So your shirt lasts - the essentials in short:

      • Wash inside out, zips closed, 30 °C gentle cycle, detergent for sportswear.
      • Never tumble dry - air dry. Do not iron (at most carefully with steam).
      • Soak stains beforehand (mild soap), never chlorine bleach.
      • Old shirts with brittle print/flock: as rarely as possible, and by hand only.
