The story behind the shirt

A shirt from the season in which Blackburn finished seventh in the Championship. With 66 points from 46 games, the club narrowly missed out on the promotion places but stayed in contention for large parts of the season. Yuki Ohashi was the top scorer with nine goals, while Andreas Weimann scored seven. Tyrhys Dolan was also prominent going forward with seven goals and six assists. Todd Cantwell topped the assist charts with seven. Particularly notable were the clear home wins against Bristol City (3:0) and Portsmouth (3:0), as well as the 4:1 win over Millwall. In February, Valerien Ismaël took over as manager. In the cup competitions, Szmodics was especially active, scoring two goals in the League Cup.
