AS Roma beendete die Serie-A-Saison 2015–16 auf Platz 3 mit 80 Punkten aus 23 Siegen, 11 Unentschieden und 4 Niederlagen. Mohamed Salah war mit 14 Toren der Top-Scorer, während Miralem Pjanić mit 10 Toren und 12 Assists die Offensive anführte. Die Giallorossi feierten dabei starke Heimsiege gegen Palermo (5:0), Carpi (5:1) und Fiorentina (4:1). In der Champions League schied Roma in den Achtelfinals gegen Real Madrid aus.
