Ajax beendete die Eredivisie-Saison 2024–25 unter Trainer Francesco Farioli mit 78 Punkten auf Platz 2. Top-Scorer in der Liga waren Wout Weghorst (10 Tore), Kenneth Taylor (9 Tore, 6 Assists) und Davy Klaassen (8 Tore). In der UEFA Europa League qualifizierte sich Ajax über souveräne Playoff-Siege gegen Jagiellonia (4:1, 3:0) und erreichte in der Liga-Phase Position 12, mit deutlichen Siegen gegen Maccabi Tel Aviv (5:0), Beşiktaş (4:0) und Qarabag (3:0).
