Barcelona played the 2000-01 season under Lorenzo Serra Ferrer and later Carles Rexach, finishing LaLiga in fourth place with 63 points from 38 games. Rivaldo was the key player with 23 goals and ten assists, while Patrick Kluivert scored 18 goals. The team reached the semi-finals in the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Cup and took part in the Champions League group stage.
