Pumas UNAM spielte 2021–22 unter Trainer Andrés Lillini in der Liga MX und belegte in Clausura und Apertura jeweils Platz 11 mit 21 Punkten aus 17 Spielen. Top-Scorer Juan Dinenno erzielte in beiden Turnieren je fünf Tore und lieferte vier Assists. Washington Corozo traf dreimal, Favio Álvarez zweimal.
