Grasshoppers beendeten die Saison 2012–13 als Vizemeister der Super League mit 69 Punkten aus 36 Spielen. Unter Trainer Uli Forte prägten die Offensivkräfte Steven Zuber, Izet Hajrovic und Nassim Ben Khalifa das Spiel der Zürcher.
