    With this home shirt of GC Zürich from the 2010-12 season, prepared for Boris Smiljanic, you're getting a genuine collector's item for your shirt collection! The shirt comes directly from the club's changing room and was prepared for a Super League match. Retroshirts' contact was employed by a Super League club and received this shirt, along with all his other shirts, personally from the players. The shirt has the features of a match shirt: the Super League patch on the left sleeve and the league sponsor on the right chest. However, it's unclear whether the shirt merely hung in the changing room as a spare or was actually worn in a match. Given the stains on the back, it's quite possible that the shirt was worn during a game. Boris Smiljanic is a true GC veteran and started his career at the club in the 1993-94 season after a transfer from FC Wettingen. After a few years with league rival FC Basel, he returned to Grasshopper Club for five more seasons, ending his active career there in 2012. In total, the centre-back played 382 matches for GC and scored 27 goals. A great collector's item for GC Zürich fans.

      The story behind the shirt

      Grasshoppers spielte 2010/11 unter Trainer Ciriaco Sforza in der Super League und belegte Platz 7 mit 41 Punkten aus 36 Spielen bei einem Torverhältnis von minus 9. Innocent Emeghara war mit 9 Toren und 9 Vorlagen Topscorer, gefolgt von Vincenzo Rennella (8 Tore) und Izet Hajrovic (5 Tore). Steven Zuber (5 Assists) und Guillermo Vallori (4 Assists) steuerten weitere Vorlagen bei. Der Verein erreichte das Viertelfinale des Schweizer Cups sowie die Qualifikationsrunde der Europa League. In der Saison 2011/12 belegte Grasshoppers Platz 8 mit 26 Punkten aus 34 Spielen und einer Tordifferenz von minus 34. Steven Zuber kam auf 8 Tore und 4 Vorlagen, Emeghara auf 5 Tore, Bruno Bertucci auf 4 Assists und Frank Feltscher auf 4 Tore. Das Team erreichte erneut das Viertelfinale des Schweizer Cups.
