    With this home shirt of the Gambian national team from 2022, prepared for Assan Ceesay, you're getting a genuine collector's item for your wardrobe! The shirt comes directly from the dressing room and was prepared for an Africa Cup qualification match, which Gambia took part in for the first time in 2022. Retroshirts' contact was employed at a Super League club and received this shirt, as well as all his other shirts, personally from the players. In the qualification phase for the 2022 Africa Cup, Assan Ceesay played in nine matches. It's unclear whether the shirt was used in one of these matches, hung as a spare shirt in the dressing room, or was prepared for a match in which Ceesay ultimately didn't play. Given its excellent condition, we assume the shirt was not used. The shirt has the Africa Cup patch on the right shoulder. Assan Ceesay joined FC Zürich for the 2018-19 season and didn't convince at first, scoring only three goals in 22 appearances. In the title-winning season 2021-22, however, he was able to reach his full potential, scoring 20 goals to finish 2nd on the top scorer list. He thus contributed significantly to the title win. For the national team, he played a total of 36 matches and scored 13 goals. After his time at FC Zürich, Ceesay moved to US Lecce and, for the 2023-24 season, to Damac FC in the Saudi Pro League. The 31-year-old centre-forward is currently without a club.
