The story behind the shirt

A shirt from the season in which Bayern Munich won the Champions League. After a commanding Bundesliga title with 82 points and 26 wins from 34 games, the Munich side also dominated on the European stage: they went unbeaten in the group stage, beat Chelsea comfortably twice (3-0 away, 4-1 at home) and delivered a stunning performance in the quarter-final against Barcelona with a sensational 8-2 away win. Lyon were defeated 3-0 in the semi-final, before Bayern won the final against Paris Saint-Germain 1-0. In the DFB-Pokal, they also claimed the title with a 4-2 final win over Bayer Leverkusen. In the league, Robert Lewandowski was top scorer with 34 goals, while Thomas Müller excelled with 21 assists. Lewandowski also scored 15 goals in the Champions League, and Serge Gnabry contributed significantly to the success with 12 Bundesliga goals and 9 Champions League goals.
