    The 2002-03 BSC Young Boys home shirt is a real eye-catcher and a rarity. The club's sponsor at the time was the company behind their own stadium, which makes this shirt a particularly sought-after collector's item for fans. The signature on the back of the shirt is from the then Swiss football hope Johan Vonlanthen. The signature was compared by Retroshirts with known authentic examples and no discrepancies were found. It can therefore be assumed that this signature is authentic, though without guarantee. With its long sleeves, the Super League patch on the left sleeve and the league sponsor on the right chest, the shirt also shows elements of a shirt prepared for or worn in a match. Since shirts in the early 2000s could rarely or never be bought with these elements, there is an increased likelihood that this shirt came directly from the club. However, we cannot offer final certainty on this point.
