    Description

    Very rare, match-prepared Torino FC home shirt from the 1988-90 seasons with the back number 6, worn by the Italian libero Roberto Cravero. The shirt comes from a high-quality collection from the close circle around BSC Young Boys and was prepared for a match of the "Phillips Trophy Bern" in 1988. The shirt was personally handed over to the owner of this high-quality collection by Roberto Cravero. It therefore comes directly from the club. It is unclear whether the shirt merely hung in the changing room as a spare shirt or was actually worn in a match. The "Phillips Trophy Bern" took place from 1977-1991 and was conceived until 1980 as a season preparation tournament for Swiss football clubs. After that, it was also opened up to international clubs and continued as an international tournament until its last edition. In 1988, BSC Young Boys, Torino FC, Everton FC and Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte took part in the tournament. Torino FC came out on top, winning the final against Everton after a 2:2 draw on penalties. The libero Roberto Cravero came through the youth ranks of Torino FC, where he also spent 12 years of his 17-year career, at times playing as team captain. This shirt is therefore a lovely and very rare collector's item. It is in very good condition, offers a great look and has only a few signs of use in keeping with its age.
