Der FC St. Pauli spielte 2014–15 in der 2. Bundesliga unter den Trainern Roland Vrabec, Thomas Meggle und Ewald Lienen und belegte mit 37 Punkten den 15. Platz. Erfolgreichste Torschützen waren Lennart Thy und Christopher Nöthe mit je fünf Toren; Dennis Daube steuerte acht Assists bei. Im DFB-Pokal schied der Verein in der zweiten Runde aus.
