The story behind the shirt

Bayern München erlebte unter Trainer Jupp Heynckes in den Spielzeiten 2011/12 und 2012/13 eine Phase außergewöhnlicher Erfolge. In der Saison 2011/12 belegte Bayern mit 73 Punkten aus 34 Spielen Platz zwei der Bundesliga, angeführt von Topscorer Mario Gómez mit 26 Toren, unterstützt von Arjen Robben und Franck Ribéry mit je 12 Toren. Bayern feierte Kantersiege wie 7:0 gegen Freiburg, 7:1 gegen Hoffenheim und 6:0 auswärts gegen Hertha Berlin, erreichte das Champions-League-Finale gegen Chelsea (1:1 nach Verlängerung, verloren im Elfmeterschießen) und unterlag im DFB-Pokal-Finale 2:5 gegen Borussia Dortmund. Die Saison 2012/13 brachte die Krönung: Bayern gewann die Bundesliga dominant mit 91 Punkten und nur einer Niederlage, angeführt von Mario Mandžukić (15 Tore), Thomas Müller (13 Tore) und Mario Gómez (11 Tore), mit Siegen wie 9:2 gegen Hamburg und 6:1 gegen Stuttgart sowie Werder Bremen. Im Champions-League-Halbfinale bezwang Bayern Barcelona 4:0 und 3:0, im Finale schlug man Borussia Dortmund 2:1. Zudem gewann Bayern den DFB-Pokal mit einem 3:2-Finalsieg gegen Stuttgart und den Super Cup mit 2:1 gegen Dortmund und krönte damit das historische Triple. Ein Trikot dieser Saison steht für eine der größten Ären der Vereinsgeschichte.
