    Description

    This FC Bayern Munich Champions League shirt is a high-quality collector's item, the kind we're only rarely able to offer. The shirt comes directly from FC Bayern Munich and was prepared for Brazilian midfielder Zé Roberto for a UEFA Champions League match in the 2003-04 season. The shirt shows all the characteristics of a match shirt: correct player size, heat-pressed club emblem and manufacturer logo, UEFA Champions League patches on the sleeves, two-layer fabric, heat-pressed size details on the neck, larger shirt technology logo "Climacool" and long sleeves with the adidas stripes running down to the cuff. It's unclear whether the shirt was worn in a match or hung in the dressing room as a substitute shirt. Zé Roberto played for FC Bayern Munich from the 2002-03 season to the 2008-09 season and was an important part of the team during this time. In total he played 248 competitive matches, scoring 20 goals and providing 62 assists. With Bayern he won four league titles and four DFB Cups in total. Early in his career he also won a Spanish league title with Real Madrid, as well as the Champions League in the 1997-98 season. With the Brazilian national team he won the Copa America twice. The shirt came to Retroshirts via the family of a former FC Bayern Munich professional player. At the time, the shirt was given directly by Zé Roberto to our contact.
