It is a member of UEFA and is organised by the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF). Record goalscorer is Andriy Shevchenko with 48 goals, while Anatoliy Tymoshchuk has played the most international matches with 144 caps. The home ground is the Olympic Stadium in Kyiv. Since Ukraine's independence in 1991, the team has developed into a fixed size in European football.
