Società Sportiva Calcio Bari, known for short as SSC Bari, was founded in 1908 in Bari, the capital of the southern Italian region of Apulia. The club carries the nicknames I Galletti ("The Roosters") and I Biancorossi ("The White-Reds"), with the latter referring to the club's traditional colours of white and red. Its home ground is the Stadio San Nicola, which holds around 58,000 spectators and went down in history as one of the venues of the 1990 FIFA World Cup.
