Rosenborg Ballklub was founded on 19 May 1917 in Trondheim, Norway - initially under the name "Odd", before the club was renamed in 1927 after the Trondheim district of Rosenborg. The club colours are black and white, and the nickname is Troillongan, which roughly means "Troll children". With 26 championship titles, Rosenborg BK is the record champion of Norwegian football and is one of the most tradition-rich clubs in Scandinavia.
