What's popular in Geneva leaves St. Gallen cold. What people buy in Bern has never interested the rest of German-speaking Switzerland.

What is the Shirt Atlas?

The Shirt Atlas is an interactive map of Switzerland showing which shirt is most popular in which canton. You choose a dimension - national teams, international clubs or Swiss clubs - and instantly see how preferences are distributed across the 26 cantons.

No gut feeling, no survey, no massaged numbers. The map is based entirely on real orders from our shop. Every delivery address with a Swiss postcode is included, with cantons assigned using the Swiss Post's official directory of localities.

Three things that surprised even us

The race at the top is brutally close. For national team shirts (excluding the Swiss national team), Brazil, Germany and England are almost neck and neck. Brazil leads by a narrow margin, with Germany and England practically in a photo finish behind. Together, the three account for almost 40 percent of all national team shirts sold.

Bern is a Spain stronghold. While most German-speaking Swiss cantons favour Germany or England, Bern marches alone under the Spanish flag. Every fifth national team shirt sold in the canton bears the crest of La Selección. Don't ask us why - the data speaks for itself.

England is everywhere. From Romandy to Central Switzerland, the Three Lions appear in the top 3 in almost every canton. No other shirt is as widely popular.

Why the whole thing is updated daily

The Atlas isn't a snapshot - it's alive. New sales data flows in every day. Especially during the 2026 World Cup, the map will get exciting: when an underdog makes a mark on the tournament, you can watch demand pick up in certain cantons almost in real time. That makes the map a mood barometer for Swiss football fans.
