He won the UEFA Cup with AC Parma in the 1998-99 season, claimed ten league titles with Juventus Turin, and reached the UEFA Champions League final three times with the \"Old Lady\". He played for the Italian national team from 1996 to 2018, winning the World Cup title in 2006 and becoming European runner-up in 2012. He also won the Italian Cup six times in total and became French champion with Paris St. Germain. Buffon was UEFA's Footballer of the Year in 2003 and was named FIFA's World Goalkeeper of the Year in 2017. He ended his long career in Serie B in 2023 at the age of 45 with Parma Calcio, where his golden career had once begun.
