fussballtrikot-gczurich-1992-93-heim-adidas-xl-r5433
GC Zürich 1992-93 home shirt - #9 - 8/10 - [XL]

Rare GC Zürich home shirt with the "Why Drugs?" print on the front in excellent condition! Number 9 was worn at the time by the later Bayern star and Brazilian centre-forward Giovanni Élber. Giovanni Élber started his international career in Switzerland after never making an appearance for AC Milan and being loaned out to GC Zürich. In 69 appearances for GC, Elber scored 41 goals. In the Bundesliga, Giovanni Elber later scored a total of 260 goals and is currently still among the top 25 goalscorers of all time. The "Why Drugs" - "No Drugs" print on the front and back is likely also to be interpreted in the context of the drug crisis at the time at Zurich's Platzspitz. From 1986 to 1995, an open drug scene existed there, which made international headlines and represented great misery. A beautiful collector's item from a historically significant time for Zurich, during which Giovanni Elber's career really started to take off.

Original football shirt of the club GC Zürich / GCZ (nickname "GC") from the Super League.

The product was manufactured by adidas, is blue/white and of the type "Home" from the 1992-93 season in size XL.

The shirt has the back number #9 printed on it.

We rate this item as follows: Excellent (8/10).

Details / additions: Several bits of fluff on the front and back.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0585/4209/6407/files/r5433-gc-zuerich-1992-93-trikot-heim-9-8-10-xl-420.jpg?v=1755200935
