Retroshirts' contact is a former Swiss professional footballer who received this shirt, along with all his other shirts, during his career. It's unclear at which match of the relevant season the shirt was swapped and to what extent the player was fielded. The signature has been compared with known authentic examples of Franz Burgmeier's signature and is, in our opinion, authentic, although this is without guarantee. Franz Burgmeier played for FC Basel in the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons. He played for the club in the 2007-08 season until the end of 2007 and was no longer part of the squad by the time Basel clinched the championship title at the end of the season in spring 2008. FC Basel began its dominant era during this period, and although they had to give way to FC Zürich for the championship title in the 2008-09 season, they then won eight times in a row from the 2009-10 season onwards, claiming nine championship titles in ten seasons. The 2006-08 squad, besides Franz Burgmeier, included players such as Ivan Rakitic, Mladen Petric, Marco Streller, Benjamin Huggel, David Degen, Valentin Stocker, Eren Derdiyok, Fabian Frei, Scott Chipperfield and Reto Zanni.

Original football shirt of the club FC Basel / FCB (nickname "Basel") from the Super League.

The product was made by Nike, is red/blue and is a "Home" type from the 2006-08 season in size L.

The shirt has the back number #15 printed on it.
