fussballtrikot-cis-ex-udssr-1992-heim-adidas-xl-r5662
CIS (Former USSR) 1992 home shirt - 9/10 - [XL]

Extremely rare shirt of the national team of the Commonwealth of Independent States CIS from 1992, which had previously been part of the Soviet Union and was approved by FIFA under the name CIS following its dissolution at the end of 1991. The CIS national team was thus a transitional national team, intended to allow the former states of the Soviet Union to take part in the 1992 European Championship. This came about because of the formal dissolution of the Soviet Union on 26 December 1991, even though it had already qualified for EURO 1992 beforehand. The CIS national team - short for "Commonwealth of Independent States" - represented twelve of the 15 original countries of the Soviet Union. After EURO 1992, this national team was abolished again by FIFA, and all results achieved at the 1992 European Championship were subsequently transferred to the Russian national team. Unlike Yugoslavia, which was famously disqualified from EURO 1992, allowing the eventual winners Denmark to take their place, a solution was found for the former USSR states to take part. A fantastic and rare shirt for collectors, telling a piece of modern world history through the shirt itself.

Original football shirt of the team Commonwealth of Independent States CIS (Ex-USSR) (FIFA code CIS).

This product was made by adidas, is red/white and is a "Home" type from the 1992 season in size XL.

We grade this item as follows: Excellent.
