The Togolese national football team is nicknamed *Les Éperviers* - the Hawks. It is organised by the national association Fédération Togolaise de Football and belongs to the African confederation CAF. The all-time top scorer is Emmanuel Adebayor with 32 international goals, and the record appearance holder is Alaixys Romao with 94 caps. The team plays its home matches at the Stade de Kégué in Lomé. Togo achieved its greatest international recognition through its only World Cup appearance in 2006 in Germany.
