SV Waldhof Mannheim

SV Waldhof Mannheim was founded on 11 April 1907 in the Mannheim district of Waldhof and has worn the club colours blue and black ever since. The Carl-Benz-Stadion, with room for around 24,000 spectators, serves as the club's home ground. In the 1980s, Waldhof enjoyed its most successful period, playing several seasons in the Bundesliga, where players like Hansi Flick and Rudi Völler shaped their early careers. After many years in the lower leagues, the club managed to return to professional football.
