Roter Stern Leipzig

Roter Stern Leipzig was founded in 1999 in the Leipzig district of Connewitz and plays in the colours black and red. The club explicitly sees itself as a cultural-political sports project in the tension between a normal football club and left-wing radical politics - a self-image that clearly sets it apart from most other sports clubs. With over 1,500 members, the club has built up a considerable base.
