Paulista (Brazil)

The Campeonato Paulista - Série A2 is the second-highest football competition in the Brazilian state of São Paulo and is organised by the FPF federation. The league was founded in 1916 and therefore looks back on a history spanning more than a hundred years. It serves as a promotion competition to the Série A1 and a relegation competition to the Série A3. The most successful clubs include XV de Piracicaba and Taubaté, each of whom have won six championship titles.
