Hibernian Edinburgh

Hibernian Edinburgh, officially Hibernian Football Club and also known as "The Hibs" or "Hi-bees", is a Scottish football club from Edinburgh that plays in the Scottish Premiership, the top Scottish league. The club was founded in 1875 by members of Edinburgh's Irish community, and the name derives from the Latin word for Ireland. This Irish heritage is still reflected today in the club's name, colours and crest. Since 1893, Hibernian has played its home matches at Easter Road Stadium, which has a capacity of over 20,421. The club has won the Scottish championship four times, with three of those titles achieved between 1948 and 1952. In addition, they have three Scottish Cup wins and three Scottish League Cup victories. Also historically significant is their participation in the first European Cup in the 1955/56 season, when Hibernian became the first British team to take part in a European competition and reached the semi-final.
