CD Chivas USA

CD Chivas USA was an MLS franchise from Carson, California, that played in Major League Soccer from 2005 to 2014. The club was founded in 2004 as the eleventh MLS team and was originally a subsidiary of the traditional Mexican club Deportivo Guadalajara. The club colours red, white and blue shaped the team's appearance, and they played their home games at the StubHub Center. Until early 2014, the franchise belonged to Jorge Vergara, before MLS bought back the rights and ceased operations after the 2014 season.
