1. Division (Cyprus)

The Cypriot First Division is the top football league in the Republic of Cyprus and is run by the Cyprus Football Association. Since its first edition in 1934, it has formed the heart of Cypriot club football. The league comprises 14 teams and qualifies its participants for UEFA competitions such as the Champions League, the Europa League and the Conference League. The record champion is APOEL Nicosia, while Omonia Nicosia is also one of the league's defining clubs.
